Sierra Leone Early 2019 Visit

Between February and May 2019, NDF has been able to achieve the below:

  1. The NDF team met with the Social Welfare office in Freetown, Sierra Leone, who have been able to identify genuine orphans and abandoned children in the locality.

  2.  Fifteen orphans (aged 1yr to 6yrs) who met our strict selection process have been accepted to live at the Nana Dee Orphanage (Interim Care Centre). All children have passed their medical examinations and have now been welcomed onto the site.

  3. Seven job contracts, job descriptions and letters of appointment have been given to new members of staff, who have also successfully completed a week of intense training based on NDF policies.

  4. Each child’s bunk bed has been fitted with a mosquito net.

  5. Other guardians of potential orphans have been visiting the NDF site and are very happy with what they have seen.

  6. Word is spreading around Sierra Leone about the Nana Dee Orphanage (Interim Care Centre) and we hope to reach full capacity to help the children who are in desperate need of a loving home.

Our first set of children arrived at the NDF Orphanage (Interim Care Centre) in June 2019 and have now settled in.
